Here at Hype Agency, we know a hard truth: Google is not your fan. It doesn’t care about your “growth journey.” Googlebot is a blind, hurried accountant trying to make sense of a messy pile of HTML tags (<div>, <h1>, <li>). If you don’t serve the information on a silver platter (machine-readable data), you are just background noise.

For our client, Andrea Giudice, we decided to stop hoping Google would “figure out” his value. Instead, we forced it into the algorithm. We built a Dynamic Structured Data infrastructure via Google Tag Manager that transforms his static pages into a living Knowledge Graph.

Here is how our internal team pulled it off, and why the “copy-paste” tactics you see online will never work at this level.

The harsh reality of rendering (or “why your script failed”)

The first hurdle was purely technical. Andrea’s site runs on Avada, a modern theme that loves lazy loading and animations. Great for the user experience, a nightmare for scraping.

When we deployed our first GTM script to read his client list from the portfolio, the result was… a cosmic void.

The Problem: We were using the JavaScript property .innerText. This property respects CSS: if an element is waiting for a “fade-in” animation and has opacity: 0 in the millisecond GTM triggers, .innerText reports it as empty. A guru would tell you to “change your mindset” here. We just changed the property.

The Solution: We switched to .textContent. This property is brutal: it doesn’t care about style, CSS, or visibility. It reads the raw node directly from the DOM. Result: The data appeared magically, bypassing the theme’s artistic pretensions.

Cleaning the chaos (the “minor projects” section)

A true professional like Andrea has major clients (with shiny logos) and a flood of minor projects, spot consulting, and collaborations. On his CV, the latter were buried in a messy list like:

  • “Website and SEO for Seracom”
  • “Strategic consulting for L’Artemisia DB”
  • “E-commerce creation on PippoPluto”

If you pass this raw data to Google in the affiliation property, you are polluting your own Knowledge Graph. Google doesn’t know if the company is “Website and SEO for Seracom” or just “Seracom”.

The Solution: JavaScript Surgery We didn’t touch the site’s frontend. We wrote a Data Cleaning function inside GTM. The script recognizes the “Minor Projects” block, dives into the list, and uses an array of trash-words (“Website on…”, “Consulting…”, “Creation…”) to scrub the string, extracting only the pure brand name.

From “Website and SEO for Seracom” to “Seracom”. Clean. Unambiguous. Semantic.

Speaking the language of gods (Wikidata)

This is where Hype Agency separates SEOs from “Digital PR” folks.

Telling Google that our client’s skill is “Webmaster” is weak. It’s an ambiguous text string. It could mean anything. Telling Google that his skill is the entity Wikidata Q41674 is a different story.

We rewrote the entire array of his skills (knowsAbout), abandoning simple strings and creating complex objects that link every single competence to its universal identifier:

  • Not just “Web Design”, but the Discipline Entity Q190637.
  • Not just “Google Tag Manager”, but the specific software Q11775280.
  • We even linked his amateur radio hobby to its specific ID, making his call sign (IK1TVW) a globally verifiable unique identifier.

When Google reads our Schema, it doesn’t read words. It reads universal concepts that it knows exactly where to place in its Knowledge Graph.

Linguistic precision (saying “English” isn’t enough)

We needed to specify that Andrea is a native Italian speaker with C1-level English proficiency. Unfortunately, Schema.org still lacks a standard, easy property for “proficiency level.”

The gurus would tell you to put a badge in the footer. We created custom Language entities, using the name property to combine the language and level for human readability, and alternateName to provide the standard ISO code (“it”, “en”) for the machine.

An elegant solution to a technical limitation.

The result of this work isn’t just a “green checkmark” on a validation tool.

The result is an automated EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) infrastructure.

Every time Andrea updates his portfolio or CV on WordPress, he doesn’t need to touch a line of code. Our GTM setup reads the new HTML, cleans it, structures it, links it to Wikidata, and serves Google a fresh JSON-LD platter that says: “Here is Andrea Giudice, here is exactly what he can do (without ambiguity), and here is the network of real companies that prove it.”

While others try to convince users they are experts, at Hype, we convinced the only entity that truly counts: the algorithm.
